Slicers are powerful tools in Power BI that allow users to filter and interact with data, providing a dynamic and interactive experience.

However, there may be situations where you want to give users the ability to reset all slicers to their default values quickly.

In this blog post, I'll explore how to create a "Reset All Slicers" button in Power BI to enhance the user experience and simplify the process of clearing slicer selections.

Why Create a "Reset All Slicers" Button?

Creating a "Reset All Slicers" button can be valuable for the following reasons:

  1. User Convenience: Users often apply multiple slicer selections while exploring data. Offering a button to clear all slicer selections simplifies the process of starting fresh.

  2. Improved Interactivity: Enhancing the user interface with a reset button makes your Power BI reports more user-friendly and interactive.

  3. Report Clarity: A reset button helps users understand that they can easily return to the default state of the report.
